04 Avalanche 1500 4wd

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 04 Chevy Avalanche 1500 4 wheel drive
sounds like a motorcycle when I'm
accelerating it starts about 15 miles an
hour and gets louder as I go faster when I
let off the gas it stops and then when it
slows down at about 17 or 15 miles per
hour it starts whining again on the
downside. I just had the Rear end rebuilt,
both front hub assm, rt. CV Axle, brakes
and rotors all around , oil change, tune up,
front Differential greased, Transmission
filter, gasket and fluid changed.2 wks ago

About the only thing you haven't worked on is the transfer case and the engine. First though try to identify exactly where the noise is coming from. Maybe double check that the lug nuts on the wheels are all tight. Might be something simple like that. And, of course there's always the engine itself. Is it a valve train or even a bottom end noise? Just throwing out ideas here. Obviously I have no idea with the limited information I have to work with. Good luck.
