in a 4 cylinder four stroke engine, how many times does the spark plug ignite if the engine is idling at 800 rpm

I'm confused on something this simple. Could someone please explain.

The spark plug to each cylinder will ignite once per engine revolution. So, at 800 revolutions per minute each spark plug will be sparking 800 times a minute.

I've always thought it would be 800 rpm divided by 4 (cylinders) because the crankshaft operates with a total of all the cylinders
