Hey toyoman-- The reason I can't answer your question is that there is no such thing as "normal" engine consumption. Ford has told people that 1,000 miles is normal while Nissan has said in the past that zero consumption is normal. I sold a guy a Cadillac ten years ago and Cadillac told him that 800 miles per quart was normal. The manufacturers respond on a case-by-case basis to complaints. I have even heard of one lady being told that 300 miles was normal. All I can add is enjoy your truck and keep a quart of oil handy. Good luck from Bovan.
