The rear differential in my 1992 toyota 4wd pickup went out and i was wondering if a 2wd toyota with the same gear ratios will fit it.

Depends on your engine size. Both the old Turbo model 4runners and 89-95 trucks with the V6 (2wd and 4wd) shared the same gear ratios. There are some oddballs - some trucks came with 4.56 gearing, most of the ones I mentioned came with the standard 4.10. You'll need to know this as to not burn out your transfer case and other bits and pieces!

my altenater went out in my toyota pickup. i replaced it and it lasted 2 days and now i only get 9 volts coming out of it. i have been having problems with the lights,turn signals, and heater causing the volt meter to drop drastically if i use them. what should i check? 1 Answer
