I have 1994 4wd pickup, newly rebuilt 22re, higher compression ratio, mild cam... truck runs pretty good, but still missing power in 5th gear, can only maintain freeway speeds in 5th while on a slight grade. I an not sure what rear end gear ratios came stock or the tire size... I currently have 31.0 x 10.50 x15. this thing seems gut less even with new engine mods, performed by reputable company, and stil seems to have poor fuel economy no matter how heavy the right foot gets. Should I have slightly lower gears installed into my diffs? does any one know the original ratios?

Check a Hayes or Chilton Manual. It will tell you all of the stock gear rations.
