Coolant leakage

Asked by Ilan Mar 29, 2016 at 08:47 PM about the 1994 Toyota Corolla Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 94 Corolla was leaking coolant, I took it to the
mechanic who said the coolant system was rusted
through and that I should scrap the car. I kept
running it by filling the radiator every time I drove,
then about 2 weeks ago it stopped leaking. With
the rego due in 2 days I'm wondering if I really do
need to scrap it???

nah, those things run forever- find out exactly WHAT is "rusted through" the radiator? so get another radiator- it is worth it to put a few bucks into a car that never dies-
