Radiator Coolant

my engine is running hot and I think I have run out of coolant...can I put water
in the radiator to get me to my garage if so how much water shall I put in

If water is the only thing available at the moment, and you need to get the vehicle somewhere, then yes, add it while the engine is running until full. But if you do not have a heated garage, and it is cold were you are, you are going to need to drain it ASAP so it does not freeze.

yes fill it all the way up, I got a leak on my truck right now I'm feeling mine daily, open the radiator cap when the vehicle is cool, and fill it all the way up, if its leaking really bad make sure you put water inside the return tank as well. Water will rust out the engine and the radiator overtime, so get it fixed soon
