2005 audi a4 1.8T common problems?

Asked by Mattsullivan95 Apr 24, 2014 at 03:27 PM about the 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've been looking for an a4 for a while
now and I finally found one that I'll
most likely buy. But before I do I just
wanted to know some common
problems that I should be weary of. I
know how expensive audi parts are
and don't want to dish out tons of
gas down the line. It's an 05 a4 1.8T
with 101k

well about the most comman issues only happen if you don't maintain the car to spec. Like for example the timeing belt is supposed to be replaced every 90k if not you risk lossing your engine. if you don't maintain the fuel system like air flow filter gas filter don't put in the best quality gas you can buy or find in your area you risk losing fuel parts . Its not unlike any other car out there you jsut gota make sure you dot the I's and cross the t's when you by an audi and you gota make sure they have a service record for the car.
