Toyota Camry has a 1 sec buzzer every 20 sec or so but no warning light. What is it?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Toyota Camry '06.  Today I started to get a warning buzzer that lasted for 1 sec
and reoccured every 20 to 30 sec.  There is no accompanying warning light of any kind.  It
even continues when the key is turned off.  Any ideas.

I'm guessing that it's the seat belt buzzer. Are you putting something heavy on the passenger seat? Backpack, or gym bag? Try buckling the passenger belt even if there is nobody sitting in the seat. See if that stops the noise. If not, you may have a bad sensor in the passenger seat. If so, see if leaving it buckled stops the buzz.....
