Will a 2005 Toyota Camry 2.4L engine fit into a 2002 Camry 2.4L without too much modification?

Asked by erpina Nov 23, 2016 at 06:16 PM about the 2002 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm looking to get a used low-mile 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine for my 2002 that had a
bad engine, and was wondering if a 2005 2.4L 2AZ-FE would fit without too
much modification. If so, what all would need to be modified/replaced?

I checked Ebay and that engine is compatible from 2002-2011. Just cut and paste it into the Ebay search bar.

Will. That 2.4 fit into a 2001 Camry without redoing engine mounts?
