What happens when you put to much oil in an engine

Asked by Brittany Oct 01, 2015 at 06:45 PM about the 1999 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

The crankshaft will dip in to the oil and whip it it foam like a blender. Cause loss of oil pressure and destroy engine. It would take more than one or even two quarts excess for that to happen, but too much oil is just as bad as no oil
