Does the CEL come on in a Camry when an oil change is needed?

I have an 03 Camry and I am just about due for an oil change. I am very on
time with my oil changes but I noticed today that the check engine light came
on. Does this happen when an oil change is due? It has never come on before
and I don't think there is a maintenance required light on my dash. Thanks!

The CEL indicates an Emissions related issue has been detected by one of the computers on your vehicle. See your Owners Manual for details.
