On a 1998 Toyota Camry. V6 timing belt
broke, is the motor an interference motor
or not. Will there be motor damage, and
how will I know

I would be inclined to replace the belt then perform a compression test. One could ....with a special SCOPE....inspect each cylinder piston and valves for damage before any repairs are initiated. Most good repair shops have this special tool.
