The back door handle on the station wagon broke. How can I fix it?

I presume you're talking about the back tail gate, can you open the tail gate door from inside the vehicle. If not, I suggest that you bring your car to a qualified mechanic for repair. They're likely going to have to replace the entire assembly and find you a replacement part. But, if you can open the door from the inside temporarily, then, that would give you immediate access.
