I want a louder, throaty sound in my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT limited, what should I do?

put a nice ait intake/filter kit on it and add a cheap glass pack muffler...but id run a hollow sounding 2 chamber flowmaster....

If you can afford it add some tube headers, AND OR go to a muffler shop with a hyd. tube bender & have a larger diameter custom pipe made. Like 2", 2 & 1/2", or 3". (At least 1/2' to 1" bigger diameter than what you have stock now.) Use a larger dia. inlet & outlet perf. cat & perf. muffler to match. I like Raven Products. A single custom large dia. pipe flows more exhaust than duel pipes & is much better & cheaper than off-the-shelf Flowmasters. Larger dia. pipe resonates & sounds deeper. Stay away from glass packs, they sound so cheap & filled with steel wool or fiberglass & will rust out eventully! And they sound like you dont know what you're doing.
