Slipping

I park my 96 subaru in my drive way its an
a medium slope and even in gear it wil
seem to sip then stop. Then slip then stop.
Like it will end up in the street. Any ideas.

A bad engine and transmission? I would scrap that car and buy something newer.

Fixable yes. But it will cost more than it is worth. Your choice.
