Loud pop while driving
Well I was driving to work today when I turn
in and hear a pop under my hood. When I
parked seen coolant was on road leading to
car. So far haven't been able to see what's
going on because of work. Does anyone
have an Idea on what this could be. Thank
you for the help.
Probably a radiator hose blew. Don't drive it until this is fixed!
Yup sure was hose. I replaced today. Car seemed fine. Drove it around buy on way home started over heating. I checked hose and could hear a whistle like sound coming from around that hose area. With gloves on I managed to find where it was coming from. Seems like its coming from the side off the mount where hose is. Any ideas what this could be and how to fix. In photo where those wires are it seems to be coming from around there. Whistle like sound an water dripping down
If that is the water pump it appears you have a water pump leak.
So it is water pump. Question. How do I remove power steering pully? A nut I'd behind i. Need to remove to get water pump out with I'm guessing the housing. Also seems whoever worked on this car before I got it just did a slack job. One of 4 nuts is broken. And ideas. Thank you sorry got long explanation
Without looking at it I would say to loosen the power steering pump to get it out of the way if that is the issue.
Thank you. How would I do that. Seems like two nuts are behind the pulley to remove pump
I suggest you buy a repair manual. Since you are a do-it-yourselfer it will come in handy in the future and will save you a lot of money.
