Can you put a 2006 Grand Prix motor or transmission in a newer or older model Grand Prix?

Yes, The motor will work in any car with the same original motor from 2004 to 2008, so grand prix's or Buick regal's. There are some head differences between the n/a and the supercharged motor and would not recommend bolting the s/c onto the normal motor. All of the cars and trim levels for those years should have the same transmission (except for the Comp-g GTP which has a lower final drive) Before '04 the sieres II engine was used and has a few differences that would make a direct swap hard. III features that would cause issues in the swap; electric trottle and returnless EFI to name two.
