Could it be thr starter relay?

My 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix will not start. I can hear the starter turn but the solenoid does not engage. I removed the starter and bench tested and the solenoid and starter both engage. Replaced and

And what?? Don't leave us hanging like this. It's like having the power go off in the middle of an episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter.

I found the problem. The starter motor does turn and the solenoid is engaging, however the starter bendix is not making full contact with the fly wheel because something inside is broke. I just purchased a new starter and all is good. Thank you for your quick response.
