Broke bleeder screw in half. How do I get the other half out?

First I would try soaking the broken part that's in caliper with some PB blaster then put caliper in a vise then try to use an easy out. If that does not work you can try to heat it with a torch but be very careful doing it that way because to much heat can destroy the rubber seal in the caliper for the piston.

If possible drill small hole in the broken part and use a small easy out to remove the broken piece. Be very careful not to break the drill bit off in the bleeder.

Remove the caliper, walk to the corner of your shop and throw it in the trash. Then go buy a new one. Heating and drilling is only inviting future problems that can travel to other places in the braking system. Not the system you want to cut corners on trying to save a few bucks.

Very good advice Jim. Plus calipers are not that expensive. Unless a person's time is totally worthless and they really have nothing better to do "fixing" a brake caliper is a waste of time.

Removing a broken bleeder screw may be about a 5 minute job and worth their time. If heat is required to remove the broken part then I agree that it is time for a rebuilt caliper.

Good point Bob. Sometimes that stub isn't in there all that tight and comes out fairly easily. I'd even suggest a time investment of half an hour would be worth it as long as that time isn't being paid for. After that, time for the rebuilt one.
