01 Grand Prix gt steering problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took car in for new struts & brakes.
(No driving issues at that time)
alignment done.
When it came back it would get
squirrley when making sweeping
turns at high rate of speed( pulled
hard to left as if it caught a line in the
road). Mechanics said needed new
rack n pinion. Put it in got 4 wheel
alignment now care floats all over the
road when making any type of turns
slow( never got it above fast to
unsafe)
Any ideas?
Both shops say everything is tight.
I took it to two different shops
thinking first shop may have
misdiagnosed. It just sucks that I had
no issues before changing struts out.
