i think i have broken wire somewhere from my fuel pump up to the engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced fuel pump relay, checked all fuses, run a pos. and neg. wire from  the battery
to the fuel pump plug, I can hear the NEW  pump run, but when I spray a tiny bit of either
in the throttle body it runs, Does any one know how I can trace the  harness to either replace or try to find the bad /broken wire, I'd like to know how the HARNESS is routed

Check the oil sending unit before you do all of that. If the wire is off, or the sensor is bad the power to the fuel pump will be cut off.

Also, check the fuse at the fuse block.

the oil sending unit or that wire, will not let the pump prime up, even if it primes when rub direct to + and - ?? and thank you Mark
