The fuel pump was replaced on my daughters 2003 grand am but it still wont start, engine turns over but wont start, still cant hear the pump motor run. What could it be?

Some are unbelievably quiet, does the relay click when you turn the key on? Have you tested fuel pressure? Is the security light flashing?

Check the relay and the fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. Try some starting fluid to see if you have spark.

if you didnt change out the fuel filter when you changed the pump, that could be it, most fuel pump failure is from trying to pump thru a clogged filter......

I cant solve problem but I can suggest a temporary solution. disconnect battery, reconnect battery, do the 10 second thing and car should start
