CAR TRYS TO STOP WHEN YOU STOP

STARTED CAR, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. LOOSEND
GAS CAP. TOOK A RIDE, CAR STARTED STALLING WHEN SLOWED TO A STOP.
GOT BACK HOME, TOOK BATTERY CABLE OFF FOR AWHILE. TOOK A DRIVE,
ENGINE LIGHT WAS OFF, BUT STILL KEPT FEELING LIKE IT WAS GONNA STOP
WHEN I STOPPED AT A LIGHT. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE. ALSO HAD
JUST GOT GAS, WHEN ALL OF THIS STARTED HAPPENING  :)

Ok you erased the codes for the check engine light by disconnecting the battery. If light comes back on go to auto zone and have the codes read. They will do this for free. Then post codes back on here so we can better help you. Sounds like possibly a vacuum leak, dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate.
