Electrical systems stop working and hard shifting

The alt is putting out 14.5 amps a d battery is
good. Car will suddenly lose  radio, and windows,
and thentach stays at 0 then jumps up to 3000 and
falls. Trans is full but shifts hard. After turning off it
wont start but after a few.hours its good to go.
Signed perplexed.

Sounds like low battery voltage. If the battery is 4 Years old or older it’s time for a replacement.

Mine did that crap and I replaced the alternator, then everything was great. I also suggest checking the 100 amp fusible link under the hood. That went once and it also made the trans crazy. When my alternator went the car was totally crazy windshield wipers going off and on throttle crazy trans N light blinking like it was over heated. The thing was possessed.
