Hi papa, Thank your for your response to my question. Help me a little more: what do you mean by "under bottom?"

Sounds like perhaps the front pump in the trans is having problems when the transmission is cold, with fluid circulation. You may also need to have the fluid flushed as it could be burnt/worn out fluid.

The transmission icon appeared one cold morning and it hasnt gone off. When i start it in the morning, i try and idle it for 3 minutes before i drive off. When i drive off, it seems to go a distance before i hear the transmission change gears. Then after 3 miles or so, it starts to drive normal....any ideas what it can be?
