Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to "ACC." Press the "MODE" button on the display panel until the oil life indicator is on the display. Press and hold the "MODE" button until "RESET FOR NEW OIL LIFE" appears. Press the "Reset" button. Hold the button for at least two seconds, then release. The engine oil life should display as reset.

There seems to be none. No oil life monitor on 1998 Town car. Dennis owner of a 98 town car since 12 years and also 3 other 98-2004 town car which I sold after a few years. 2003 & up HAS oil monitor.
