Car has developed a "miss" that is most obvious a idle.  Service engine light is one
mostly steadily, but occasionally blinks.  Sometimes there is an odor similar to hydrogen
sulfide gas but not for long.  What could cause these symptoms?

A missfire will cause the MIL to blink. Most common failure is the plug wire boot(s).
