Just Changed the alternator. Was at in parking lot getting ready to come home heard like tic tic tic sound twice. And the check that's light comes on. Guage needle onthe battery goes down. Means

Battery have goes all the way down. Drives fine.

Since the alternator is brand new and assumed to be good, you might have a shorted battery. But I don't know how a failed battery would start the engine even once. Maybe get back to where you bought the alternator and have them test it, and then test the battery too.
