I have a 97 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0L and when im driving it stays at 40 but when i start to accelerate it goes to 80?

Do I need a pressure sensor? my oil level is ok, but im doing an oil change on it
this weekend since its super dirty. is it ok to drive when its doing this?

Oops i forgot to mention this. sorry im doing so much research about it. my oil pressure gauge. normally it stays around 40 and when i start to accelerate it goes to 80. I was reading it may be my pressure sensor. I do need an oil change and was planning to do it this weekend.
