2001 Grand Cherokee. After driving and stoping when I turn the key it makes a clicking noise and will not start, I have to leave it over night and then it will start again have new batter and clables

2001 Grand Cherokee.  After driving and stopping when I turn the key it makes a clicking noise and will not start,  If I leave it over night, it will start again.  Have new battery and cables.  When this problem starts each time I turn the car off that day it takes several turns to get it to start, it will start, but after the 3 stop it will not start, just a clicking noise.  The next day it will start. This seems to happen every few weeks
