My 1996 4l grand Cherokee Laredo chudders, looses power, like I'm on and off the gas

My Laredo 1996 4l jeep Grande
Cherokee intermittently looses
power,then it's back on ,on off on off,I
have to floor it then it's ok , but mid
throttle around 20mph to 45 it's
jerking me, no response to
throttle,doesn't die on me just like it's
running out of fuel until I put my foot
to the floor then it's fine?

make sure your injectors are clean and make sure you have a clean air filter. If the air sensor get dirty then it wont suck the right amt. of air in. I think its called a MAS. mass air sensor. If its not that then its your distributor or spark plugs. Good luck!

Hey thanks for your input mate, appreciated. Today I was in it and it drove ok for half mile then played up. It's strange that if I floor the accelerator its fine ,well 90% ,but sometimes I hear a clank as if it's connected to to throttle. Especially uphill I've noticed as apposed to downhill.its strange.
