Engine Jerking When Let Off Gas

Asked by Kynzi Apr 08, 2019 at 11:21 AM about the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L LX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L LX FWD has
started jerking / thudding when I let off the gas. It
rarely does it at lower speeds but when I reach 55
-60 and let off the gas or cancel the cruise control
it happens more often then not. Boyfriend thinks it
might be an engine mount issue not keeping the
engine stable when it is downshifting. I have
inserted pictures of an area where we found
something could be missing. If anybody can
identify what is missing or can help it is much
appreciated. Thank you!
