Engine Jerking When Let Off Gas

Asked by Kynzi Apr 08, 2019 at 11:11 AM about the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L LX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L LX FWD has
started having a weird jerking / thudding motion
occasionally on lower speeds when I let off the gas
and more often than not when I am going 55-60
and let off the gas or cancel the cruise control.
Boyfriend thinks it could be an engine mount issue
not keeping the engine stable when it is down
shifting. I have inserted pictures of an area where
we found that something looks like it is missing. If
anybody is able to identify it we could use the help
in resolving this issue. Thanks!
