Is 10,000 for a 2004 A8 with 137,000 miles worth the price? Or is the mileage too high to invest money into the car?

Not that much of an audi fan, but... if you are hell bent on an audi.... that's about fair. If the vehicle (with that mileage) is in excellent condition you are looking about 11,200. in good condition you're at about 10,200. and in fair condition you are right around 8,900. Just be sure that the transition shifts properly and that it is in SOUND condition mechanically. You'll need to weigh your options should it need work as Audi tends to be a bit more salty on the repair costs. Just something to think about.
