Can I get some help?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have an Audi A4 Quattro with 1.8 t. Started to overheat
lose power and make a little bit of noise so I shut it off let it
cool down went back and got it and was making a rattling
sound so thinking I killed the motor I bought another one.
Did some research and found out that the cam chain
tensioner makes that noise. So I tried to buy the tensioner
and the tool around town couldn't find it so I did a head
swap with the head from the motor that I bought because it
was rebuilt and had a new cam chain tensioner water pump
timing belt and timing belt tensioner. Got it all back
together and running still making that noise not sure what it
is so being curious I took it for a quick drive around the
block as I was driving it didn't build power so I brought it
back and was letting it idle then died. The turbo seemed
super hot when it died not sure if that has to do anything
with it or not. No it turns over and won't start almost like it's
not trying to catch itself to start any help would be
appreciated.
