Can someone help me

Asked by Yahaira Sep 11, 2021 at 11:02 PM about the 2017 Audi A4

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed the oil in my car and when I went to
go turn on the car it shows that I have no oil. Like
none. Not one drop. It says put oil immediately.
What can I do? Should I run it and see if it
changes?

You check the oil level. If there is no dip stick you can't manually check the oil level. Do not start it if it says there is no oil. Is it the oil level that is zero or is it the oil life reminder? Did you change the oil or was it an oil change shop?

Look for a disconnected low oil level sensor. The sensor is screwed into the side of the oil pan which is on the bottom of the engine. Look for a plug hanging. If the sensor is unplugged you will get a false low oil level warning. But don't start the engine until you physically confirm this or that you have oil in the engine! Hope that helps! Jim
