2004 GMC sierra cuts off

Asked by timinalabama Jul 08, 2015 at 05:50 AM about the 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 4 Dr SLE 4WD Crew Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Sierra V8 with 60k, miles on it has started going dead. When I'm about 2 miles
from the house I have to go down a small steep hill and stop. The truck goes dead but
starts back up and does not do it again till the next morning. Does this in the winter and
summer.Full tank of gas and no check engine or OBD codes. Runs fine at all other times
except for this one time a day. If I go VERY slow to the stop it will not shut off. Any ideas?

Have Toque Converter Clutch Soilnold checked. Now usually the check engine light would come on for this but I have seen were it did not come on and was the problem.
