Is it a short?

Asked by Guru59TZ8 Dec 18, 2017 at 04:31 PM about the 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 C1500 SL Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my 1998 gmc sierra 4.3L the other
night, and my instrument panel lights cut off. Along
with my taillights, but just my running ones. As
soon as I put a new fuse in and cut the lights on,it
blows the fuse. I've put in a new circuit board in
both back lights, along with new bulbs. Any
suggestions on what it could be?

1 Answer

That sounds like a short. Trace the tail light wires and look for damage.
