95 gmc sierra 4x4 goes in reverse but will not
go forward in any forward gear. Any ideas?

probably a screwed up transfer case. I have a manual shift transfer case in my 4x4 Ford but there are times when it doesn't want to come back up into neutral so that I can drive it in 2 x. It is an older pick up sure, but it is not good to just let it stay in 4 x. It was no designed to run in dry conditions. DO NOT be afraid to ask a dealer. i have used a dealer once or twice to figure out my transfer case. good luck
