drive axel passager side put back in just for temp

passager side drive axel broken off dont have money to buy new one had friend
put back in just temp till i get the funds to get a new one. now when i go to start
the van it runs for 5 to 30 seconds then go off is it shuting off becouse of the
drive axel or this a new prolume i need to fix..

It's possible that the computer isn't getting readings from the differential or the speed sensor at that shaft, but this wouldn't cause the engine to shut off. So it appears that you have something else going on here. Might be the MAF, IAC, Fuel Pump Relay, Cam and/or Crank Position Sensors, defective ECM, or other reasons. Your van isn't one of the most reliable vehicles, and at its age, it's likely not worth more than three grand. Before you spend that to fix this car, I recommend you go shopping for a replacement. And until you come into serious bucks, stay with Toyota & Honda.
