Just wonder is it not safe to drive my PT if I need to replace coolant gauge sensor. I know my coolant is fine, just need to replace sensor. My mechanic can't get to it for a couple of days.

Meaning your guage inside the car does not work so you don't know how hot your engine is getting? If that the case I would advise not to drive it till its repaired. IMO anyways.
