I have a 2004 PT Cruiser with a battery drain issue. It will have a full charge but overnight it will lose about 2 volts. The problem started before I went away for 3 weeks. When I came back there was still about a 10 volt charge. Obviously not enough to turn it over but the lights and all electrical were fairly strong. Original battery was replaced and checked twice, when the drain happened two more times, to be sure it wasn't a faulty battery. When I do get it jumped it starts and runs fine but overnight it loses that 2 volts and I'm back where I started. Any clues? 1 Answer

I have a 2001 PT Cruiser, ran great, went to start it 10 minutes after turning it off and it won't start. Replaced plugs and wires, new starter and new battery. I have a2003 PT Cruiser, I drove it home from work on Sunday and parked in the driveway. Monday I went to go to the store and it wouldn't start but is turning over. I pulled the starter and battery and the plugs. The started tested good and battery bad so I replaced it. Replaced the air filter and plugs too and then it still wont start! It still turns over but wont fire. I checked Fuel pressure at the test port at 80 psi and compression at the cylinder, all good. I am out of ideas and money is tight, what am I missing? Any suggestions? 2 Answers
