Is that noise from the shaking or the motor? Bad tires can cause the shaking at high speeds. If the motor is shaking it could be motor mounts. Trying to narrow it down.
Thanks man. The noise is from the shaking... The motor seems to be fine and my tires are OK. I had the car in the shop 2x now but it stops by the time I get there so they were having trouble diagnosing. he thought most likely culprit was motor mounts but wasn't sure and another guy thought maybe the axles. I haven't showed them the video yet because they were closed all weekend. I appreciate your help!
I once brought a used car where the tires looked good. On my way home it shock at 50 mph and got worse the faster I drove. New tires solved the problem. The thing that gets me in your situation is the fact you say it goes away after awhile??? Your auto shop should be able diagnose motor mounts easily by putting the car in gear with brakes applied an looking to see how much the motor moved. I would try new tires if they have some miles on them and you plan on keeping the car for awhile. Good luck to you..
