Buzzing noise from engine after dead battery was jumped. Lights were left on over nite. Now humming noise from engine.

That's the alternator running at maxx output desperately trying to charge the battery.

Thanks, my mechanic (no charge) felt it was an electric motor that does the job of back in the day setting the idle and it was trying to recalibrate.
