Have a 2004 Taurus, keep getting message that drivers side door is ajar and interior light stays on even with door shut . Any idea's?

The jam latch has a little black button that is a sensor right on the latch. open up your door and look where it latches to the cab of the car in the door jamb. this is called the door ajar sensor/ switch and is known to go bad. My girlfriends focus did the same thing and that was the problem. Hope this helped.

I HAVE A 2006 FORD TAURUS and the alarm keeps going off on my dashboard that two back doors are open but they're are not !! what could it be
