02 focus yellow caution light

Yellow caution light comes on while driving.car bogged down then goes back
normal...manual says it trans overheating or singing over heating...temp
gauge is normal tho.I pulled over car not even hot not boiling ...please help

So I had a cluster of wires going to coil pack and some other components...cluster mayo g on manifold melted together....THANX FORD....thank u to for your input
