2002 Ford Focus ZX5 transmission warning light

I have a 2002 ford focus ZX5. I was driving it and the transmission warning
light came on, then my car died. It took 5 tries to turn my car back on. The
light came back on, and my car died again. I was finally able to turn it back
on and drove it straight home. I checked my transmission fluid and it's good,
I checked to see if I needed to add more coolant and I didn't have to. What
should I do? I want to be able to drive my car.

I had a similar issue, but car didn't completely shut off just hesitated then light went away. What was it?

Happend to me 2 i have a 2015 focus though and all it was, was the battery as soon as i replaced it, it runs like a beast again
