2003 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer. It accelerates to 3500 RPM remove pressure from accelerator. TAC drops to 2200 hesitates then drops below normal idle speed. Sometimes it dies and sometimes comes back up to normal idle speed. Have replaced the IAC, MAF, TPS & Intake manifold gaskets. Have checked for vaccum leaks and none detected. No diagnostic codes come up. Does not deaccelerate when coming to a stop. Using excessive gas. Any ideas?

The condition where the idle drops drops down below normal idle speed then sometimes returns to normal and sometimes doesn't would seem to indicate there is a problem with the IAC, the electrical connection, or the signal coming from the PCM. Can you replicate the condition when the vehicle is stationary, in park, using the accelerator to increase the rpm's then releasing the accelerator? If not you will probably need a live data analysis while the vehicle is in operation.
