My exp starting showing check gauge light on cold start only about 3 times in last couple of weeks. The needle on oil pressure finally comes up after a minute or two after starting. Ive had the vehicle for 10 years. Any ideals?

I am guessing coolant temperature sensor.

Or the pressure in the engine may not be okay the oil or engine pressure sensor. If not then you may want to do a compression test to see if the pressure in the engine is good.

I am a female and know nothing about engines. Can the coolant temp sensor and/or oil or engine pressure sensor be tested easily?
